2 but walked in the ways of the kings of Israel. He even made molten images for the Ba′als; 3 and he burned incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burned his sons as an offering, according to the abominable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel. 4 And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

2 He followed the ways of the kings of Israel and also made idols(A) for worshiping the Baals. 3 He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom(B) and sacrificed his children(C) in the fire, engaging in the detestable(D) practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. 4 He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places, on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.
