2 The king and his officials and the entire congregation in Jerusalem had decided to celebrate Passover in the second month. 3 For they were not able to celebrate it at the regular time, since not enough kohanim had consecrated themselves, nor had the people assembled in Jerusalem. 4 The matter seemed right in the eyes of the king and of the entire community.

2 The king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate(A) the Passover in the second month. 3 They had not been able to celebrate it at the regular time because not enough priests had consecrated(B) themselves and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem. 4 The plan seemed right both to the king and to the whole assembly.
