²⁵ But Hezekiah gave no return for the benefit ^[a]he received, ^(A)because his heart was ^[b]proud; ^(B)therefore wrath came on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.

¹² So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His ^(A)work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will ^[a]punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and ^(B)the pomp of ^[b]his haughtiness.”

²⁰ But when his heart was ^(A)lifted up and his spirit became so ^[a](B)proud that he behaved arrogantly, he was ^(C)deposed from his royal throne and his glory was taken away from him.
