Manasseh’s Idolatry Rebuked
10 The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but (A)they paid no attention. 11 (B)Therefore the Lord brought the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria against them, and they captured Manasseh with [a]hooks, (C)bound him with bronze chains and took him to Babylon. 12 When (D)he was in distress, he entreated the Lord his God and (E)humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

New International Version
10 The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention. 11 So the Lord brought against them the army commanders of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh prisoner,(A) put a hook(B) in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles(C) and took him to Babylon. 12 In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled(D) himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.
