For he rebuilt the [idolatrous] high places which his father Hezekiah had torn down; and he set up altars for the Baals and made the [a]Asherim, and worshiped all the host of heaven [the sun, the moon, stars and planets] and served them.(A) He built [pagan] altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “My Name shall be in Jerusalem forever.” He built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.

He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had demolished; he also erected altars to the Baals and made Asherah poles.(A) He bowed down(B) to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.
