¹⁵ Yet the Lord, the God of their fathers, ^(A)sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;

⁴ And the Lord has sent to you all His ^(A)servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear,

¹⁹ because they have ^(A)not listened to My words,’ declares the Lord, ‘which I sent to them again and again by ^(B)My servants the prophets; but you did not listen,’ declares the Lord.

⁴⁹ For this reason also, ^(A)the wisdom of God said, ‘^(B)I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill, and some they will ^[a]persecute,
