18 He brought to Babylon each of the utensils from Elohim’s temple, the treasures from Yahweh’s temple, and the treasures of the king and his officials. 19 They burned Elohim’s temple, tore down Jerusalem’s walls, burned down all its palaces, and destroyed everything of value. 20 The king of Babylon took those who weren’t executed to Babylon to be slaves for him and his sons. They remained captives until the Persian Empire began to rule.

18 He carried to Babylon all the articles(A) from the temple of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the Lord’s temple and the treasures of the king and his officials. 19 They set fire(B) to God’s temple(C) and broke down the wall(D) of Jerusalem; they burned all the palaces and destroyed(E) everything of value there.(F)

20 He carried into exile(G) to Babylon the remnant, who escaped from the sword, and they became servants(H) to him and his successors until the kingdom of Persia came to power.
