¹⁵ Thou that hast kept with thy servant David my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine ^[a]hand, as appeareth this day.

¹⁶ Therefore now, Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father, that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou ^[b]shalt not want a man in my sight, that shall sit upon the throne of Israel, so that thy sons take heed to their ways to walk in my Law, as thou hast walked before me.

¹⁷ And now, O Lord God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David.
