2 Chronicles 6:40-42
Contemporary English Version
40 Lord God, hear us when we pray in this temple. 41 (A) Come to your new home, where we have already placed the sacred chest, which is the symbol of your strength. I pray that when the priests announce your power to save people, those who are faithful to you will celebrate what you've done for them. 42 Always remember the love you had for your servant David,[a] so that you will not reject your chosen kings.

40 “Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your ears attentive(A) to the prayers offered in this place.
41 “Now arise,(B) Lord God, and come to your resting place,(C)
you and the ark of your might.
May your priests,(D) Lord God, be clothed with salvation,
may your faithful people rejoice in your goodness.(E)
42 Lord God, do not reject your anointed one.(F)
Remember the great love(G) promised to David your servant.”

40 Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
41 Now therefore arise, O Lord God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.
42 O Lord God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.
