19 “But if you[a] turn aside and forsake my statutes and my commandments that I have set before you and go and serve other gods and worship them,(A) 20 then I will pluck you[b] up from the land that I have given you,[c] and this house, which I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.(B) 21 And regarding this house, now exalted, everyone passing by will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this house?’(C)

New International Version
19 “But if you[a] turn away(A) and forsake(B) the decrees and commands I have given you[b] and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot(C) Israel from my land,(D) which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule(E) among all peoples. 21 This temple will become a heap of rubble. All[c] who pass by will be appalled(F) and say,(G) ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’
