²⁵Solomon had 4,000 stalls for his chariot horses^[a] and 12,000 horses. He kept them in assigned cities and also with him in Jerusalem.^[b] ²⁶He ruled all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River^[c] to the land of the Philistines as far as the border of Egypt. ²⁷The king made silver as plentiful^[d] in Jerusalem as stones; cedar was^[e] as plentiful as sycamore fig trees are in the foothills.^[f]

²⁵Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots,^(A) and twelve thousand horses,^[a] which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem. ²⁶He ruled^(B) over all the kings from the Euphrates River^(C) to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.^(D) ²⁷The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills.
