⁹ Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us ^(A)rely not on ourselves ^(B)but on God ^(C)who raises the dead. ^10 (D)He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. ^(E)On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

¹¹ For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

⁹ as unknown, and ^(A)yet well known; ^(B)as dying, and behold, we live; ^(C)as punished, and yet not killed;

³⁶ As it is written,

³⁰ Why are we ^(A)in danger every hour? ³¹ I protest, brothers, by ^(B)my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, ^(C)I die every day! ³² What do I gain if, humanly speaking, ^(D)I fought with beasts at Ephesus?
