Legacy Standard Bible
14 For we are not overextending ourselves, as if we did not reach you, (for (A)we were the first to come even as far as you in the (B)gospel of Christ), 15 not boasting (C)beyond our measure in (D)other men’s labors, but having the hope—that as (E)your faith grows—to be (F)enlarged even more by you [a]within our area of influence, 16 so as to (G)proclaim the gospel even to (H)the regions beyond you, and not to boast [b](I)in what has been accomplished in the area of influence of another.

New International Version
14 We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you(A) with the gospel of Christ.(B) 15 Neither do we go beyond our limits(C) by boasting of work done by others.(D) Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow,(E) our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, 16 so that we can preach the gospel(F) in the regions beyond you.(G) For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory.
