19 For you bear with the foolish gladly, being wise. 20 For you bear with a man if he brings you into bondage, if he devours you, if he takes you captive, if he exalts himself, or if he strikes you on the face. 21 I speak by way of disparagement, as though we had been weak. Yet in whatever way anyone is bold (I speak in foolishness), I am bold also.

19 You gladly put up with(A) fools since you are so wise!(B) 20 In fact, you even put up with(C) anyone who enslaves you(D) or exploits you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs or slaps you in the face. 21 To my shame I admit that we were too weak(E) for that!
Whatever anyone else dares to boast about—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast about.(F)
