⁶ But ^(A)God, who comforts the ^[a]discouraged, ^(B)comforted us by the arrival of ^(C)Titus;

¹³ Because of this, we have been ^(A)comforted.

And besides our comfort, we rejoiced even much more for the joy of ^(B)Titus, because his ^(C)spirit has been refreshed by you all. ¹⁴ For if I have ^(D)boasted to him about you regarding anything, I was not put to shame. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also our boasting before ^(E)Titus proved to be the truth. ¹⁵ His ^[a]affection abounds all the more toward you, as he remembers the ^(F)obedience of you all, how you received him with ^(G)fear and trembling. ¹⁶ I rejoice that in everything ^(H)I have confidence in you.

⁶ So we ^(A)urged ^(B)Titus that as he had previously ^(C)made a beginning, so he would also complete in you ^(D)this gracious work as well.

¹⁶ But ^(A)thanks be to God who ^(B)puts the same earnestness in your behalf in the heart of ^(C)Titus.

²³ As for ^(A)Titus, he is my ^(B)partner and fellow worker ^[a]among you; as for our ^(C)brothers, they are ^[b](D)messengers of the churches, ^(E)a glory to Christ.
