9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. 10 For (A)godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; (B)but the sorrow of the world produces death.

9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation(A) and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
