2 Corinthians 9:4-6
Holman Christian Standard Bible
4 For if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we, not to mention you, would be embarrassed in that situation.[a] 5 Therefore I considered it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance the generous gift(A) you promised, so that it will be ready as a gift and not as an extortion.(B)
6 Remember this:[b] The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.

2 Corinthians 9:4-6
New International Version
4 For if any Macedonians(A) come with me and find you unprepared, we—not to say anything about you—would be ashamed of having been so confident. 5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers(B) to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift,(C) not as one grudgingly given.(D)
Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.(E)
