17 Ahaziah died according to the word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken. Since he had no son, Joram[a](A) became king in his place. This happened in the second year of Judah’s King Jehoram(B) son of Jehoshaphat.[b] 18 The rest of the events of Ahaziah’s reign, along with his accomplishments, are written in the Historical Record of Israel’s Kings.[c](C)

17 So he died,(A) according to the word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken.
Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram[a](B) succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah. 18 As for all the other events of Ahaziah’s reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

His son Jehoahaz(B) became king in his place. 36 The length of Jehu’s reign over Israel in Samaria was 28 years.(C)

34 As for the other events of Jehu’s reign, all he did, and all his achievements, are they not written in the book of the annals(A) of the kings of Israel?
35 Jehu rested with his ancestors and was buried in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son succeeded him as king. 36 The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
