King Joash of Judah

(2 Chronicles 24.1-16)

12 Joash[a] became king of Judah in Jehu's seventh year as king of Israel, and he ruled 40 years from Jerusalem. His mother Zibiah was from the town of Beersheba.

Jehoiada the priest taught Joash what was right, and so for the rest of his life Joash obeyed the Lord.

12 [a]In the seventh year of Jehu, Joash[b](B) became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem forty years. His mother’s name was Zibiah; she was from Beersheba. Joash did what was right(C) in the eyes of the Lord all the years Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
