13 Jehoash rested with his fathers, and Jeroboam(A) sat on his throne. Jehoash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
Elisha’s Death
14 When Elisha became sick with the illness that he died from, Jehoash king of Israel went down and wept over him and said, “My father, my father, the chariots and horsemen of Israel!”(B)
15 Elisha responded, “Take a bow and arrows.” So he got a bow and arrows.(C)

13 Jehoash rested with his ancestors, and Jeroboam(A) succeeded him on the throne. Jehoash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
14 Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him. “My father! My father!” he cried. “The chariots(B) and horsemen of Israel!”
15 Elisha said, “Get a bow and some arrows,”(C) and he did so.
