2 Kings 13:23-25

23 But the Lord was gracious to them and showed compassion for them, and he turned his attention to them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So until this time he has not been willing to destroy them, nor did he cast them from his presence.
24 Then Hazael king of Aram died, and his son Ben Hadad became king in his place. 25 Jehoash son of Jehoahaz took action and recovered from Ben Hadad son of Hazael the cities which Hazael had taken from his father Jehoahaz in war. Three times Joash[a] defeated him and recovered those Israelite cities.

New International Version
23 But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant(A) with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy(B) them or banish them from his presence.(C)
24 Hazael king of Aram died, and Ben-Hadad(D) his son succeeded him as king. 25 Then Jehoash son of Jehoahaz recaptured from Ben-Hadad son of Hazael the towns he had taken in battle from his father Jehoahaz. Three times(E) Jehoash defeated him, and so he recovered(F) the Israelite towns.
