¹³ Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall^(A) of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate^(B) to the Corner Gate^(C)—a section about four hundred cubits long.^[a]

¹³ The Valley Gate^(A) was repaired by Hanun and the residents of Zanoah.^(B) They rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place. They also repaired a thousand cubits^[a] of the wall as far as the Dung Gate.^(C)

¹⁹ Next to him, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, repaired another section, from a point facing the ascent to the armory as far as the angle of the wall.

³² and between the room above the corner and the Sheep Gate^(A) the goldsmiths and merchants made repairs.

¹⁰ The whole land, from Geba^(A) to Rimmon,^(B) south of Jerusalem, will become like the Arabah. But Jerusalem will be raised up^(C) high from the Benjamin Gate^(D) to the site of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate,^(E) and from the Tower of Hananel^(F) to the royal winepresses, and will remain in its place.^(G)
