18 Everything else that Amaziah did is recorded in The History of the Kings of Judah.
19 There was a plot in Jerusalem to assassinate Amaziah, so he fled to the city of Lachish, but his enemies followed him there and killed him. 20 His body was carried back to Jerusalem on a horse and was buried in the royal tombs in David's City.

18 As for the other events of Amaziah’s reign, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
19 They conspired(A) against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish,(B) but they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there. 20 He was brought back by horse(C) and was buried in Jerusalem with his ancestors, in the City of David.
