13 Still, the Lord warned(A) Israel and Judah through every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways and keep my commands and statutes according to the whole law I commanded your ancestors and sent to you through my servants the prophets.”(B)

14 But they would not listen. Instead they became obstinate like[a] their ancestors who did not believe the Lord their God.(C) 15 They rejected his statutes and his covenant he had made with their ancestors(D) and the warnings he had given them. They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves,(E) following the surrounding nations the Lord had commanded them not to imitate.(F)

13 Yet the Lord testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

14 Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the Lord their God.

15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.
