13 Yet the (A)Lord warned Israel and Judah [a](B)through all His prophets and (C)every seer, saying, “(D)Turn back from your evil ways and keep My commandments and My statutes in accordance with all the Law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you [b]through My servants the prophets.” 14 However, they did not listen, but (E)stiffened their neck [c]like their fathers, who did not believe in the Lord their God. 15 (F)They rejected His statutes and (G)His covenant which He made with their fathers, and His warnings which He [d]gave them. And (H)they followed [e]idols and (I)became empty, and followed the nations that surrounded them, about which the (J)Lord had commanded them not to do as they did. 16 And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves cast metal images: (K)two calves. And they (L)made an [f]Asherah, and (M)worshiped all the heavenly [g]lights, and (N)served Baal. 17 Then (O)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and they (P)practiced divination and interpreting omens, and (Q)gave themselves over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him. 18 So the Lord was very angry with Israel, and He (R)removed them from His [h]sight; (S)no one was left except the tribe of Judah.

16 They forsook all the commands of the Lord their God and made for themselves two idols cast in the shape of calves,(J) and an Asherah(K) pole. They bowed down to all the starry hosts,(L) and they worshiped Baal.(M) 17 They sacrificed(N) their sons and daughters in the fire.
