¹⁵ And they ^(A)rejected His statutes ^(B)and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed ^(C)idols, ^(D)became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should ^(E)not do like them. ¹⁶ So they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, ^(F)made for themselves a molded image and two calves, ^(G)made a wooden image and worshiped all the ^(H)host of heaven, ^(I)and served Baal. ^17 (J)And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, ^(K)practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and ^(L)sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

⁶ Do not go after other gods to serve them and worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not harm you.’

⁷ Yet you have not listened to Me,” says the Lord, “that you might ^(A)provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

³ because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke Me to anger, in that they went ^(A)to burn incense and to ^(B)serve other gods whom they did not know, they nor you nor your fathers.

^21 (A)You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and ^(B)the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the ^(C)Lord’s table and of the table of demons.
