35 Who among all the gods of the lands are there who have saved their land from my hand, (A)that the Lord would save Jerusalem from my hand?’”
36 But the people were silent and did not answer him with even a word, because it was the king’s [a]command: “Do not answer him.” 37 Then (B)Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was in charge of the household, and Shebna the scribe and Joah the son of Asaph, the secretary, came to Hezekiah (C)with their clothes torn, and they reported to him the words of Rabshakeh.

37 Then Eliakim(B) son of Hilkiah the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary, and Joah son of Asaph the recorder went to Hezekiah, with their clothes torn,(C) and told him what the field commander had said.
