4 Elijah said to him, “Elisha, please (A)stay here, for the Lord has sent me to (B)Jericho.” But he said, “(C)As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho. 5 (D)The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, “(E)Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over [a]you today?” And he [b]answered, “Yes, I know; be still.” 6 Then Elijah said to him, “Please (F)stay here, for the Lord has sent me to (G)the Jordan.” And he said, “As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So the two of them went on.

5 The company(B) of the prophets at Jericho went up to Elisha and asked him, “Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master from you today?”
“Yes, I know,” he replied, “so be quiet.”
6 Then Elijah said to him, “Stay here;(C) the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.”(D)
And he replied, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.”(E) So the two of them walked on.
