² And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, ^(A)according to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

²⁶ Still the Lord did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, ^(A)because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him.

³ Surely this came upon Judah at the command of the Lord, to remove them out of his sight, ^(A)for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, ⁴ and also ^(B)for the innocent blood that he had shed. For he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord would not pardon.

^4 (A)And I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what ^(B)Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem.
