Judah’s King Jehoiakim

³⁴ Then^(A) Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim^(B) son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed Eliakim’s name to Jehoiakim.^(C) But Neco took Jehoahaz and went to Egypt, and he died there.^(D)

² The Lord sent Chaldean, Aramean,^(A) Moabite,^(B) and Ammonite raiders against Jehoiakim. He sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord He had spoken through His servants the prophets.^(C)

¹⁸ Therefore, this is what the Lord says concerning Jehoiakim^(A) son of Josiah, king of Judah:

25 This is the word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim^(A) son of Josiah, king of Judah (which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon).
