20 Nebuzaradan (captain of the guard) escorted them to Babylon’s king at Riblah. 21 Nebuchadnezzar killed them all at Riblah in Hamath. Thus Judah was separated from the land and forced into exile.

22 Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, had allowed some people to remain in Judah, so he appointed Gedaliah (son of Ahikam, Shaphan’s son) to govern the land.

22 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon appointed Gedaliah(E) son of Ahikam,(F) the son of Shaphan, to be over the people he had left behind in Judah.
