26 And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces, arose, and came to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.
27 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison; 28 and he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

New International Version
26 At this, all the people from the least to the greatest, together with the army officers, fled to Egypt(A) for fear of the Babylonians.
Jehoiachin Released(B)
27 In the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the year Awel-Marduk became king of Babylon, he released Jehoiachin(C) king of Judah from prison. He did this on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month. 28 He spoke kindly(D) to him and gave him a seat of honor(E) higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
