Christian Standard Bible
2 Elisha asked her, “What can I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?”
She said, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.”(A)
3 Then he said, “Go out and borrow empty containers from all your neighbors. Do not get just a few.(B) 4 Then go in and shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour oil into all these containers. Set the full ones to one side.”

2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”
“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”(A)
3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. 4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”
