2 Kings 9:11-13

11 When Jehu came out to his master’s servants, they asked, “Is everything all right? Why did this crazy person(A) come to you?”
Then he said to them, “You know the sort and their ranting.”
12 But they replied, “That’s a lie! Tell us!”
So Jehu said, “He talked to me about this and that and said, ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.’”
13 Each man quickly took his garment and put it under Jehu on the bare steps.[a](B) They blew the ram’s horn(C) and proclaimed, “Jehu is king!” (D)

11 When Jehu went out to his fellow officers, one of them asked him, “Is everything all right? Why did this maniac(A) come to you?”
“You know the man and the sort of things he says,” Jehu replied.
12 “That’s not true!” they said. “Tell us.”
Jehu said, “Here is what he told me: ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.’”
13 They quickly took their cloaks and spread(B) them under him on the bare steps. Then they blew the trumpet(C) and shouted, “Jehu is king!”
