8 If these are yours and increase in abundance, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 (A)Anyone who lacks them is blind and shortsighted, forgetful of the cleansing of his past sins. 10 [a]Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your call and election firm, for, in doing so, you will never stumble.

8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive(A) in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.(B) 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind,(C) forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.(D)
10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling(E) and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,(F)
