15 Which forsaking the right way, have gone astray following the way of (A)Balaam, the son of Beor, which loved the wages of unrighteousness.
16 But he was rebuked for his iniquity: for the dumb beast speaking with man’s voice forbade the foolishness of the Prophet.
17 (B)[a]These are [b]wells without water, and clouds carried about with a tempest, to whom the [c]black darkness is reserved forever.

15 They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam(A) son of Bezer,[a] who loved the wages of wickedness. 16 But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—an animal without speech—who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.(B)
17 These people are springs without water(C) and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them.(D)
