2 Peter 2:18-20

18 For, while speaking out (A)arrogant words of no (B)value they (C)entice by fleshly desires, by (D)indecent behavior, those who barely (E)escape from the ones who live in error, 19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for (F)by what anyone is overcome, by this he is enslaved. 20 For if, after they have (G)escaped the defilements of the world by (H)the knowledge of the (I)Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again (J)entangled in them and are overcome, (K)the last state has become worse for them than the first.

18 For they mouth empty, boastful words(A) and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping(B) from those who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”(C) 20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing(D) our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ(E) and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.(F)
