2 Peter 3:13-15

13 But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) is to abide.(A)
14 So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him [at His coming] without spot or blemish and at peace [in serene confidence, [a]free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts].
15 And consider that the long-suffering of our Lord [[b]His slowness in avenging wrongs and judging the world] is salvation ([c]that which is conducive to the soul’s safety), even as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the spiritual insight given him,

New International Version
13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth,(A) where righteousness dwells.
14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless(B) and at peace with him. 15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience(C) means salvation,(D) just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.(E)
