16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of (A)these things, (B)in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and (C)unstable distort, as they do also (D)the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, (E)beloved, knowing this beforehand, (F)be on your guard lest you, having been carried away by (G)the error of (H)unprincipled men, (I)fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and (J)knowledge of our (K)Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable(A) people distort,(B) as they do the other Scriptures,(C) to their own destruction.

17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard(D) so that you may not be carried away by the error(E) of the lawless(F) and fall from your secure position.(G) 18 But grow in the grace(H) and knowledge(I) of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.(J) To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.(K)
