David Repents, But the Child Dies
13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against Yahweh!”[b] Nathan said to David, “Yahweh has also forgiven your sin; you shall not die. 14 But because you have utterly scorned[c] Yahweh in this matter, the son born for you will certainly die.”[d]

Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away(D) your sin.(E) You are not going to die.(F) 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for[a] the Lord,(G) the son born to you will die.”
