12 You committed your sins in secret. But I will make sure that the man commits his sin in the middle of the day. Everyone in Israel will see it.’ ”
13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”
Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You aren’t going to die. 14 But you have dared to show great disrespect for the Lord. So the son who has been born to you will die.”

12 You did it in secret,(A) but I will do this thing in broad daylight(B) before all Israel.’”
13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned(C) against the Lord.”
Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away(D) your sin.(E) You are not going to die.(F) 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for[a] the Lord,(G) the son born to you will die.”
