23 But now being dead, wherefore should I now fast? [a]Can I bring him again anymore? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
24 ¶ And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her, (A)and she bare a son, and [b]he called his name Solomon: also the Lord loved him.
25 For the Lord had sent [c]by Nathan the [d]Prophet: therefore [e](B)he called his name Jedidiah, because the Lord loved him.

23 But now that he is dead, why should I go on fasting? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him,(A) but he will not return to me.”(B)
24 Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba,(C) and he went to her and made love to her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon.(D) The Lord loved him; 25 and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah.[a](E)
