25 For the Lord had sent [a]by Nathan the [b]Prophet: therefore [c](A)he called his name Jedidiah, because the Lord loved him.
26 ¶ Then Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the [d]city of the Kingdom.
27 Therefore Joab sent messengers to David, saying, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of [e]waters.

26 Meanwhile Joab fought against Rabbah(B) of the Ammonites and captured the royal citadel. 27 Joab then sent messengers to David, saying, “I have fought against Rabbah and taken its water supply.
