Hushai Informs David
15 Then (A)Hushai said to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, “[a]This is what Ahithophel counseled Absalom and the elders of Israel, and [b]this is what I have counseled. 16 So now, send quickly and inform David, saying, ‘(B)Do not spend the night at the fords of the wilderness, but by all means cross over, lest the king and all the people who are with him be swallowed up.’” 17 (C)Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz were staying at (D)En-rogel, and a servant-woman would go and inform them, and they would go and inform King David, for they could not be seen entering the city.

15 Hushai told Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, “Ahithophel has advised Absalom and the elders of Israel to do such and such, but I have advised them to do so and so. 16 Now send a message at once and tell David, ‘Do not spend the night at the fords in the wilderness;(A) cross over without fail, or the king and all the people with him will be swallowed up.(B)’”
17 Jonathan(C) and Ahimaaz were staying at En Rogel.(D) A female servant was to go and inform them, and they were to go and tell King David, for they could not risk being seen entering the city.
