¹⁷ And they took Absalom and threw him into a great pit in the forest and raised over him ^(A)a very great heap of stones. And all Israel ^(B)fled every one to his own home.

¹⁵ And Joshua said to them, “If you are a numerous people, go up by yourselves to the forest, and there clear ground for yourselves in the land of the Perizzites and ^(A)the Rephaim, since ^(B)the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you.”
