⁹ Now Absalom happened to meet the servants of David. For Absalom was riding on his mule, and the mule went under the thick branches of a great oak. And ^(A)his head caught fast in the oak, so he was ^[a]left hanging between heaven and earth, while the mule that was under him kept going.

³⁸ So ^(A)Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, ^(B)the Cherethites, and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, and brought him to ^(C)Gihon.
