3 And David brought up (A)the men who were with him, every man with his household. So they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.
4 (B)Then the men of Judah came, and there they (C)anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, (D)“The men of Jabesh Gilead were the ones who buried Saul.” 5 So David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh Gilead, and said to them, (E)“You are blessed of the Lord, for you have shown this kindness to your lord, to Saul, and have buried him.

3 David also took the men who were with him,(A) each with his family, and they settled in Hebron(B) and its towns. 4 Then the men of Judah came to Hebron,(C) and there they anointed(D) David king over the tribe of Judah.
When David was told that it was the men from Jabesh Gilead(E) who had buried Saul, 5 he sent messengers to them to say to them, “The Lord bless(F) you for showing this kindness to Saul your master by burying him.
