⁵ Then I acknowledged my sin to you
    and did not cover up my iniquity.^(A)
I said, “I will confess^(B)
    my transgressions^(C) to the Lord.”
And you forgave
    the guilt of my sin.^(D)

⁴ Against you, you only, have I sinned^(A)
    and done what is evil in your sight;^(B)
so you are right in your verdict
    and justified when you judge.^(C)
