14 David was wearing a sacred linen apron. He danced in front of the Lord with all his might. 15 He did it while he was bringing up the ark of the Lord. The whole community of Israel helped him bring it up. They shouted. They blew trumpets.
16 The ark of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David leaping and dancing in front of the Lord. That made her hate him in her heart.

14 Wearing a linen ephod,(A) David was dancing(B) before the Lord with all his might, 15 while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts(C) and the sound of trumpets.(D)
16 As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David,(E) Michal(F) daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.
