5 David and the whole house of Israel were celebrating before the Lord with all kinds of fir wood instruments,[a] lyres, harps, tambourines, sistrums,[b] and cymbals.(A)
6 When they came to Nacon’s threshing floor, Uzzah reached out to the ark of God and took hold of it because the oxen had stumbled. 7 Then the Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah,(B) and God struck him dead on the spot for his irreverence,(C) and he died there next to the ark of God.

New International Version
5 David and all Israel were celebrating(A) with all their might before the Lord, with castanets,[a] harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.(B)
6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of(C) the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. 7 The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act;(D) therefore God struck him down,(E) and he died there beside the ark of God.
